Jack and Dorothy Miller Memorial Scholarship

Keep Brazos Beautiful is offering the Jack and Dorothy Miller Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship serves to offer financial aid to local graduating high school seniors from Brazos County who have demonstrated a passion for the Keep Brazos Beautiful mission or are pursuing a field of study that will make a positive impact on the environment. $2,500 in scholarships will be awarded to local graduating high school seniors and can be used towards any accredited college or university.

Requirements:

Applicants must be a graduating high school senior in Brazos County.

Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. A transcript will be required.

Applicants must be accepted into an accredited college or university. Acceptance letter will be required.

Applicants will need a letter of recommendation from a teacher or organization leader.

Applicants will need to write a short essay (500 word max) responding to the following:

o What is your background, goals after high school, intended field of study, and how this will impact the community?

o What interests you about Keep Brazos Beautiful’s Mission?

o What actions have you taken, projects have you worked on, and/or organizations have you been involved in that have contributed to the beautification, recycling, litter abatement, or conservation of the community?

Applications must be submitted by 8:00 pm on July 31, 2023.
