Keep Brazos Beautiful is offering the Jack and Dorothy Miller Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship serves to offer financial aid to local graduating high school seniors from Brazos County who have demonstrated a passion for the Keep Brazos Beautiful mission or are pursuing a field of study that will make a positive impact on the environment. $2,500 in scholarships will be awarded to local graduating high school seniors, and can be used towards any accredited college or university.
The application packet must be submitted by 8:00 pm on April 14, 2020.
Keep Brazos Beautiful will provide grant funding for a school or organization based environmental project. Grants are available for either a school-wide project or a small group project. Grants are available for the 2019-2020 school year. KBB will award a total of $2,500 in project funding for the fiscal year.
1- Each request can be up to $2,500 per project, per school year. Keep in mind that we are funding many projects, and the total we have available in grants is $2,500.
2- Public schools, private schools, and homeschool groups are welcome to apply.
3- Projects include but are not limited to: vegetable gardens with a composting component, recycling programs, campus beautification, pollinator garden, tree planting, and more!
4- Recipients will be required to submit before, during, and after photos to KBB, as well as a post-project report. This report will be used to promote our Grants Program, and inspire other people to apply.
