"Blanket the Brazos" with wildflowers was once a dream, but now it has become a reality.
Thanks to the continuing generosity of our citizens, we have sewn 950 pounds of our 12-seed mix last year. Since 1998, we've sewn a total of 11,425 POUNDS OR 5.71 TONS on area roadways and parks. An example of the result is illustrated in the photo above, courtesy of Linda Fike of College Station. The seeds were sown in highly visible areas of Brazos County, on slopes and highway intersections.
The cost of seed is still $30 per pound. AND, if you donate 5 pounds of
seed or $150, you or your organization can designate the planting site!
To find out the different ways you can make a tax-deductible donation to this year's project, please Contact Keep Brazos Beautiful. You can also print a copy of the Order Form.
